I recently purchased my “Whale” a Honda 350X with a 200X engine at a very reasonable price.
Under $1000? Mine! ALL MINE! WAHahahahah!
What happens after I get home and back on the hunt?
Of course another one pops up that’s more complete, in the same price range and only 10 miles from where I got the other one. WTF?
I think it’s time to up the budget for toys now.

Yeah but I’ve already got projects. I’m still tempted to grab an ATC70 with the express purpose of stuffing the biggest engine I can in it, though.

That happens every fucking time!!! In other words yes you need to up the budget to buy the second one. Then resell the first one. Doesn’t really cost anymore money its just that you are keeping more money “invested” in them.

I know a guy that’s building a 70 with a turbo from a snowmobile. I’m not a fan of hardtails but this thing should be a riot.

I’m trying to keep that reserve but I may be moving out of state soon.(hopefully) I don’t want to wind up being that guy that has to sell his toys. I want to be the guy exploiting the guy that has to sell his toys.

Seems to be the way it goes. I’ve been on the search for a cheap 350x or Tri-Z for quite a while, but the budget doesn’t really allow it at the moment. My substitute plan is to find a nice liquid cooled two stroke and stuff it in the spare 200x frame I have hanging on my wall.
